Ikorodu, Lagos — The city of Ikorodu, recognized as the 12th largest city in Nigeria with an annual growth rate estimated between 5–28 percent, came alive as it welcomed CITYMAG News24 TV for the EC Verse 4.0 (MARA Edition) Concert, held at the Ikorodu Terminal Ferry.
The event, which celebrated culture, creativity, and economic growth, drew an impressive lineup of dignitaries, entertainers, and community leaders. In attendance was the Oba of Ikorodu, the Kabiyesi of Igbogbo, alongside the Honourable Chairman of Ikorodu, reaffirming the importance of the event to the local community.
The monarch was received with full traditional honors, setting a culturally rich tone for the evening. During his address, Eko, the convener of the event, expressed gratitude to the audience for honoring the king’s presence and for supporting initiatives that spotlight Ikorodu’s growing influence.
In a remarkable display of support for creativity, Eko awarded a total of ₦2 million to four individuals who produced a painting dedicated to popular music star Zlatan, reinforcing the event’s commitment to promoting talent and artistic expression. The gesture further defined the concert as a true MARA Edition, highlighting impact beyond entertainment.
The night featured thrilling performances by guest artists Zlatan, Danny S, and concluded powerfully with a headline performance by the Oganla of Fuji music, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, whose appearance brought the concert to a memorable close.
The event was expertly hosted by MC Bash, with vibrant sounds provided by guest DJs DJ 4kerty, DJ Smokay, and DJ Spirit, keeping the audience energized throughout the celebration.
Also present were notable guests including APA Yoruba Actors’ Governor, Kemity, and Bukandi Autos alongside his wife, Olori, adding star presence to the occasion.
